As a Guest Support Manager, you will report to the Safer Gambling Duty Manager and play a key role in supporting our guests. You’ll be responsible for identifying signs of gambling-related harm and responding appropriately to anyone who may need assistance, in line with The Star’s Safer Gambling policies and procedures. We have 3 full time opportunities available, with one being a maternity leave contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for Safer Gambling team. 

A few of your responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Safer Gambling in developing and implementing departmental strategy
  • Deliver Safer Gambling programs and monitor their quality and compliance with laws and corporate standards
  • Identify signs of gambling‑related harm and assist guests in making informed decisions about their play
  • Manage guest relationships and resolve queries with professionalism and tact
  • Assess operational compliance with relevant laws, codes, and Safer Gambling signage and marketing requirements
  • Comply with all Federal and State legislation, company policies, and procedures

What we will be looking for

  • Tertiary qualifications in psychology
  • Experience in guest relations and/or Safer Gambling programs
  • Ability to build effective relationships and a sound understanding of relevant laws and regulations

You excel at building trust, navigating difficult conversations, and making informed decisions in fast‑paced, guest‑facing environments. Your strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and responsible gambling practices enables you to identify potential risks and take proactive steps to safeguard our guests.
