As a Warehouse Operations Supervisor reporting to the Senior Manager – Contracts, Supply Chain & Retail, you will be responsible for supervising the operational functions of the internal warehouse, loading dock, drop zone and our heart of house corridors. The primary focus is to ensure the operation of the distribution function is safe, efficient, effective and professional whilst leading all shift briefings for the warehouse team.

This is a fantastic 12 month secondment opportunity where you will have the chance to drive excellence across the warehouse operations to achieve the department’s goals, in conjunction with the business objectives.

A few of your responsibilities:    

• Lead and motivate a large and diverse team of warehouse staff where you will conduct team meetings, own the performance of your team, including performance management reviews, prepare rosters, complete all administrative staff requirements and supervise the service flow
• Ensure timely receipt of goods aligned with mobile dock booking time slots

• Work with the assigned Security Guard to ensure compliance with receipting and departing carriers
• Manage the company assets such as: roll cages, pallets, suppliers’ plastic crates and equipment as required in all areas under supervision
• Supervise deliveries and ensure that all items are stored or delivered to their appropriate locations along with compiling data and providing tracking and monthly reporting statistics on all deliveries and stocked items
• Oversee regular cycle counts and participate in monthly stock take ensuring accurate record keeping
• Raise orders and maintain stock on hand for commonly used food and beverage items
• Liaise with internal outlets on short dated stock and place orders for any specialty F&B requirements

What we are looking for:   

• 5 years experience in warehousing and / or supply chain experience

• Certificate in stores/warehouse distribution principles (Forklift, EWP, Drivers licence)
• Understanding of laws as they relate to the organisation, in particular, Casino Control Act and regulations, HCCAP
• Attention to detail and accuracy throughout your shift
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Oracle, Check SCM and Converga
• Understanding and capability of physical requirements of the job such as lifting, overhead reaching, pushing, pulling, carrying of receiving goods and stock

With great communication skills, you have the ability to liaise with external suppliers, carriers and internal stakeholders whilst working closely with our Warehouse teams to deliver a high level of service to our internal customers.
