We are seeking a Manager of Risk to join our team based in Sydney, Brisbane or Gold Coast. This role will involve supporting the General Manager Risk & Insurance to develop, implement and monitor compliance with high quality programs to allow for the effective management of The Star’s material risk exposures.

 

A few of your responsibilities:  

  • You will support the achievement of the Star’s strategic goals by assisting with implementing an effective program of insurances to manage the Star’s insurable property and liability exposures
  • You will participate in management committees, preparing reports to the Board Risk & Compliance Committee regarding the effectiveness of the Star’s risk management and insurance programs
  • You will support the GM in developing and implementing a framework to identify, assess, and monitor The Star’s material strategic, financial, operational and compliance risks
  • You will support the GM in delivering the remediation activities for Risk Management
  • You will prepare reports to relevant risk committees regarding the effectiveness of The Star’s risk management

 

About you:

  • Extensive experience in the design, implementation and monitoring of risk management programs in complex regulatory and business structure environments
  • Experience in Cyber risk Profiling is highly advantageous
  • The ability to identify opportunities for improvements in risk management processes
  • A proven track record of successfully developing effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • The ability to use strategic thinking to challenge the status quo
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • A tertiary qualification in law, finance or similar is desirable
